“SNOB” — Tijana Pavlov Spring 2009

In rela­tion to fash­ion, Bel­grade is quickly on its way to becom­ing drama cen­tral. Here, the idea of con­ven­tion has been lost in trans­la­tion and moder­nity thrives. Join­ing the ranks of young designer Dejan Despo­tovic, Tijana Pavlov is the lat­est Bel­grade designer to emerge on the scene. Pavlov has posi­tioned her line to push the gen­der enve­lope. Using thought­ful and pro­vok­ing “col­ors, shapes, and slo­gans”, she hopes to have an impact on menswear in Ser­bia. For her lat­est col­lec­tion, Pavlov embarks on a futur­is­tic jour­ney with bold skin reveal­ing cuts and a mono­chro­matic color palette that is sub­ject to a tan­ta­liz­ing fiery red.
