Barcelona-​​based designer Lydia Del­gado might evoke the image of a docile woman of yesterday’s past for her lat­est col­lec­tion, but there is no deny­ing that this same woman is strongly matched against her more effem­i­nate coun­ter­part. Dressed quite sim­ply in pale col­ors, Delgado’s man is frag­ile and exposed. Trousers are rail thin, while shorts accen­tu­ate the legs. The tra­di­tional tie is replaced by bows and quirk, that at one point even resem­ble a leash. Regard­less, Delgado’s take on menswear is inter­est­ing and begs for a more inten­sive foray into our world.
