Entertainment Weekly taps Stephen Colbert to cover its December 19, 2014 issue with a story lensed by photographer Ruven Afanador, celebrating the latest installment of The Hobbit movie. A J.R.R. Tolkien super fan, Colbert jumped at the opportunity to play dress up, stepping into the roles of Gandalf, Legolas and Bilbo Baggins. Talking about the experience, Colbert shares, “Just me and a few of my friends got together to play dress- up. Lucky for me, my ‘friends’ are the wardrobe department for The Hobbit. The original costumes and wigs were flown in from New Zealand just for me. They didn’t even fly the costumes out of New Zealand for the actors! They had to wear them there!” Read more at EW.com.
