I have been doing a lot of cleaning lately and uncovered a stack of magazines that I meant to scan this past fall. Oops! The images are so striking that I could not pass them up, so I am sharing them here. The first editorial comes from the November 2008 issue of GQ Style. Titled “England’s Dreaming” and photographed By Guzman, the West Wycombe Country Park acts as the perfect setting for these romantic images of Chris Doe, Vinnie Woolston, and Scott Barnhill. Don’t you just love the riding boots? I have always had a soft spot for boots. I would wear them everyday if it was feasible.

I have had this look from Yohji Yamamoto’s spring 2008 collection pinned to my wall for the last two years. It is different, effortless, chic…I love the way it blends the militaristic and civilian styles. I am severely disappointed in myself for not tracking down the pants when I had the chance. A cardigan is easy to find, but not suspender pants that fit just the right way. However, that does not take away from this look being a great source of style inspiration. For most people, wearing suspenders is a drastic statement; definitely not for everyone. However, pairing the right cardigan with the right suspenders provides a toned down look that is still different. So, what are you waiting for?
