DNA Fall/​Winter 2012 Show Package

DNA–Impres­sive to say the least, no face goes unno­ticed when it comes to DNA’s choice of boys for each fash­ion week. At the top of their ranks for this com­ing fash­ion week are Miles McMil­lan and Alexan­dre Cunha. While Miles is com­ing into his own with cam­paigns begin­ning to fol­low his suc­cess on the run­way, Brazil­ian model Alexan­dre is hav­ing quite the blue chip sea­son that will no doubt fol­low him on to the cat­walk. Mean­while, new faces Alex Ham­mond and Chris Petersen will no likely stand out with cham­pi­oned tal­ents Bas­ti­aan Van Gaalen, Alexan­der Beck and others.

Giorgio Armani Fall/​Winter 2012 | Milan Fashion Week

New World–Look­ing to bring a new dimen­sion to his cel­e­brated vision on tai­lored clas­sics, Gior­gio Armani revamped the stan­dard sil­hou­ette, embrac­ing stretch fab­rics and loose fits for fall’s col­lec­tion. Accent­ing a famil­iar black and gray palette with bursts of bright blue, Armani’s man was imme­di­ately sharp, but relaxed as sep­a­rates made the move between tra­di­tional and mod­ern. While vel­vet pants bal­looned in shape, only to fall into a tapered fin­ish, the double-​​breasted jacket was at once laid-​​back. Alto­gether a seam­less mix of two worlds, Gior­gio Armani’s fall/​winter 2012 col­lec­tion turned out a phe­nom­e­nal show­ing that pit­ted impec­ca­ble con­struc­tion against bold design.

Etro Fall/​Winter 2012 | Milan Fashion Week

High Ambi­tions–Ready for new heights, designer Kean Etro looked to the mys­ti­cal Pega­sus as the start­ing point of his lat­est col­lec­tion. Mar­ry­ing the extrav­a­gant use of feath­ers to Etro’s sig­na­ture prints, the rich affair brought forth quite the avid imag­i­na­tion. Begin­ning the show with evening­wear, monot­one bro­cade gave way to not only richer prints, but feath­ers turned out as jack­ets, scarves, ties and other pieces. From the dark palette of gray and black to a sam­pling of the warm sun’s rays, Etro explored the color spec­trum, even going as far as a fiery red. From over­coat and vest to shoes, the devil was in the details. Mas­ter­fully mix­ing prints and tex­tures, the col­lec­tion was pre­sented with per­son­al­ity, depth and ulti­mately the fine qual­i­ties of the modern-​​day gentleman.

Moncler Gamme Bleu Fall/​Winter 2012 | Milan Fashion Week

The Art of Rac­ing–Brazil­ian race car dri­ver Ayr­ton Senna served as the muse of designer Thom Browne’s lat­est col­lec­tion for Mon­cler Gamme Bleu. Lend­ing his quirky cre­ations a new dimen­sion, yel­low, red and white dressed an enter­tain­ing wardrobe, fit for the spec­ta­tor. Start­ing the show with padded jump­suits and mov­ing towards shrunken tai­lored gar­ments, cheer­ful suit­ing sep­a­rates cham­pi­oned Browne’s race car dri­ver. Even­tu­ally arriv­ing at his sig­na­ture palette of gray and navy, volume-​​induced jack­ets, long coats as well as lay­ered cold-​​weather essen­tials com­pleted another sea­son of fun for the beloved designer.

Apoc­a­lypse Now–Empo­rio Armani grav­i­tates towards the darker side of fall with a somber hued show­ing for the new sea­son. Mix­ing a retro atti­tude with Armani’s brand of mod­ern, a laid-​​back wardrobe of essen­tials come together with an array of arrest­ing acces­sories for plenty a piece to entice the styl­ish. Don­ning an over­size beret tipped to the side or a hooded scarf, the man of Empo­rio Armani calls atten­tion to an empow­ered lineup that explores var­i­ous sil­hou­ettes and cuts, while also pro­pelling the time­less­ness of sta­ples like the pin­striped suit.

Dolce & Gabbana Fall/​Winter 2012 | Milan Fashion Week

Regal For­ma­tion–Dolce & Gab­bana fol­lows a path lined with luxe fab­ri­ca­tions and rich accents for the fall/​winter 2012 sea­son.
