Pick­ing up where Paris Fash­ion Week left off, the lat­est show­ing as pho­tographed by Karim Sadli takes a step away from the mil­i­tary motif and embraces a refined take on the punk aes­thetic. Cre­at­ing a season’s worth of denim with a dis­tinc­tive flair and the per­fect com­ple­ments, Bal­main cre­ative direc­tor Christophe Decarnin unleashes an easy take on cool.

Man About Town con­tin­ues a look to the past for inspi­ra­tion in their lat­est issue. Reunit­ing with Paolo Roversi, Suc­cess model Clé­ment Chaber­naud is fea­tured along­side Valer­ija Kelava in a clean throw­back to when rock ‘n’ roll ruled the charts. Embrac­ing a mod­est palette and fit­ted sil­hou­ettes, styl­ist Jakob K pieces together a smart selec­tion that includes Gior­gio Armani and Raf Simons amongst other labels.

Siki Im Spring 2011

Mov­ing for­ward with their third col­lec­tion, Siki Im con­tin­ues to evolve, blend­ing var­i­ous influ­ences for a look that is deci­sively mod­ern. Tak­ing to a color palette of pre­dom­i­nantly gray and white, the label took their man on a car­a­van for the spring sea­son. Elon­gat­ing pro­por­tions, but main­tain­ing a boxy sil­hou­ette, the col­lec­tion achieved a cer­tain urban qual­ity that aided in mak­ing an all to com­mon motif feel new once more. Turn­ing a back­wards hat into a near novel con­cept, the spring col­lec­tion rel­ished in sheer lay­ers, volu­mi­nous pants and an inter­est­ing gauge on fab­ric for an out­ing that man­aged to feel youth­ful and at times sim­ply chic.
