From sculpted suits and trench coats to the sharply cut neck­lines of sweaters, sim­ple con­struc­tion is favored for remixed clas­sics. To fur­ther empha­sis the unapolo­getic tai­lor­ing, dimen­sional geo­met­ric prints are plated onto silk scarves, trousers and overcoats.

The Tale of Nenukko–Explor­ing intense folk­lore dimen­sions and fan­tas­ti­cal sen­si­bil­i­ties, Nenukko fur­thers their exper­i­men­ta­tion with eccen­tric prints and fab­ri­ca­tions for fall 2011. Break­ing free of body forms and con­struc­tions, the unisex-​​label strays away from con­ven­tional design prin­ci­ples and favors the manip­u­la­tion of fab­rics by bend­ing, wrap­ping and drap­ing. Reject­ing struc­ture and clean lines, the sil­hou­ette is soft and relaxed, while pro­por­tions are strong in elon­ga­tion and volume.

Asher Levine Spring 2012 | New York Fashion Week

The Unbeaten Path–Cit­ing “an infec­tion in New York” as inspi­ra­tion, Asher Levine invited show atten­dees to wit­ness his world for spring’s pre­sen­ta­tion. Fea­tur­ing a palette of black, white, gray and pur­ple for the col­lec­tion, the designer released his mod­els straight from quar­an­tine with mal­formed arms and skulls. Sur­pris­ingly there was still quite the show­ing of util­i­tar­ian gar­ments through­out the show by way of struc­tural jack­ets, shorts and even a white jumpsuit.
