Boom–Milano agency Boom is bubbling with personality for the upcoming fashion week. Out the gates with new momentum is London export Dudley O’Shaugnessy, who should make an easy first impression in castings after a major music video with Rihanna. Meanwhile, Canada’s Eryck Laframboise appears to be tailor-made for the catwalk — tall, lean and impeccable bone structure — the perfect model. Rounding out their lineup, Boom has the perfect face for any Italian show, but the remaining two who easily captivate are Richard Kranzin and Hans Hatt. While Kranzin brings a little extra spirit to the runway with platinum locks and a keen eye for photography, Hatt’s model DNA is kicked into overdrive with the introduction of his brother Rafael this season … and the stars align.

A Stroke of Difference–Brought across the pond by Fusion, Jed Texas was the first of our lineup and a spit-ball of energy – positively infectious. Then another import, plucked by Wilhelmina, courtesy of Success, the young Elvis Jankus. An unforgettable face and a welcomed sight on the catwalk, Elvis appeared in shows for Robert Geller and Rad by Rad Hourani. Meanwhile Canada’s Eryck Laframboise made the hop over, representing for Red Citizen with absolutely flawless skin aka no retouching necessary aka a photographer’s dream! Rounding out our quartet was Aim’s Jackson Rado, a natural mix of odd perfection and the unassuming yet perked interest. / Photography by Nikolai de Vera.
Rad by Rad Hourani Spring 2012 | New York Fashion Week
Blue Days Ahead–A purveyor of the unisex approach to fashion, Rad Hourani sought to bring a little light to his usual uniform of black. Incorporating blue into a dark wardrobe, various hues came together for a constricted view at Hourani’s interchangeable separates. From fitted shorts and protective vests to obstructed skirts, the label’s champion put on a brave armor despite a brief departure from coverage for the spring season.
Y-3 Spring 2012 | New York Fashion Week
Easy Times at Yohji High–Yohji Yamamoto sent the Y-3 lad back to school for the spring 2012 season. Neat and tidy, save for playful proportions and a little spontaneity, Yamamoto made a modest stride. Dressed sharp and to impress, with a personality sprinkled accordingly, quirk as well as structure came together as blazers founds themselves paired with plaid numbers or loose silhouettes constructed bottoms. A fusion of Yamamoto’s trademark cuts and Adidas’ sporty inclination, the collection was a cool walk in the park.
