Unconditional Fall 2008

Unconditional’s fall 2008 col­lec­tion is spot on.  I love the lay­er­ing and the use of bur­gundy.  The vari­ety of sil­hou­ettes is entic­ing and a nice exam­ple of how to eas­ily tran­si­tion between wide legged and slim pants.  The cuts of the out­er­wear is excel­lent and the acces­sories add great depth.  I’ll def­i­nitely be check­ing this col­lec­tion out when it hits stores this fall.

Fall mer­chan­dise is trick­ling into sev­eral stores and I can­not wait to see the bulk of it.  There are so many excel­lent col­lec­tions this sea­son.  I’ve been con­sid­er­ing the pur­chase of a bag from the Raf Simons x East­pak col­lab­o­ra­tion and it’s def­i­nitely going to hap­pen this sea­son.  The pric­ing of the first col­lec­tion was astro­nom­i­cal, but as you can see by the pric­ing on Matches, the prices are now much more appropriate.

Filippa K Pre-​​Fall 2008

Fil­ippa K always has such nice, sleek, clas­sic pieces. I love the boxy shape of the first coat.  I can’t wait to see some pieces from the rest of the col­lec­tion. There is always a piece that stands out. I’m still tor­tur­ing myself for not pick­ing up their storm jacket from last year.

Trovata Fall 2008

Usu­ally, I don’t pay much atten­tion to Trovata, but this col­lec­tion caught my inter­est.  It’s so clean and ver­sa­tile.  Not to men­tion, their price point is quite rea­son­able.  I’ll need to scope out the duf­fel coat pic­tured when their line hits stores.  I already have one, but what’s the fun in not hav­ing coats you vir­tu­ally do not wear.  I kid, I kid.  How­ever, I do wish that the pea­coat fea­tured was pro­duced minus the elbow pads.  I’ve been in search of the per­fect pea­coat since last fall and have yet to find one.
