UNIQLO has released the first installment of their fall styling campaign. The preppy go at fall features none other than current it boy AJ Abualrub. Sean O’pry may be along for the ride, but AJ dominates the campaign with Sean only having one image as of yet, but fortunately he appears in the synthetic leather campaign. More to come…

H&M always keeps things lively with new promotional images. In their latest attempt to dress up the e-commerce portion of their website for the upcoming season, they have released a campaign featuring Andres Velencoso Segura and Ryan Thomas. The duo represent a more mature audience for H&M, but one that nevertheless still appreciates trends.

For the fall 2009 season, Frank Leder continues to weave the story of the ordinary man into the fabric of his own label. For his collection entitled “Poachers”, Leder turns from last season’s factory workers to poachers from the Bavarian mountains. The story of the Bavarian poachers is of survival and danger. Initially, hunting was restricted to hunters and they were permitted to shoot the illegal poachers on the spot. However, these poachers were normally brave men who had to hunt for the survival of their family. Their strength and the noble intention of their actions make them the perfect subject for this season’s collection. As always, the collection incorporates authentic elements from the season’s muse. Crafting horn closures from deer antlers, which are naturally shed each winter, shirts were also made from dead-stock antique sheets from the 1960’s for a unique look. Overall, the collection envisions an aesthetic that is grounded and humble with great respect for the past, but a vision that is current. Best embracing this spirit is the modeling the collection by German band Moderat.

New York based label Rochambeau enters into the fall season with their second collection that was inspired by “the intricate dialogue between defense and self.” In a cynical streak, the campaign that accompanies this season was created in a fashion that is self-destructive. Coated in a rusting agent, liquid and metal foils are destined to eat into the book until it is no more.

Raf Simons’ latest collection for Dr. Martens is set to add some pizazz to a fall season that is quite dark. Working with the traditional 3-eye, Double Monk Strap, 8-eye and High Boot styles, Simons offers Dr. Martens’ iconic look a new spin with the introduction of the Zip, Strap and 3-eye Zipped styles. Housing two distinct aesthetics, the collection plays at both conservative and bold features. Drawn to Excel and New-Nova leather, Simons creates a smart look where the excitement is maintained in the details. Meanwhile, in general Raf Simons’ flair, the Koram Flash selection features reflective metallics in gold, copper and pewter. If you’re going to be dressed in all black this fall, you might as well let your shoes do the talking. If not available already, the collection should be reaching stores any day now. Stockists include Browns, Oki-ni, Dover Street Market and Selfridges.

Process & Content is a new hat company based in Los Angeles, California. The label debuts their first collection entitled “Mementos & Pastimes” this fall. The hand sculpted range was inspired by various historical objects, serving as an excellent introduction to a label that hopes to reinterpret historical reference points in a way that is both modern and relevant.
