New York Model Management–Among the usual suspects who have proven to be casting favorites, ranging from Alexander Johansson and Philipp Bierbaum to Charlie France, New York Model Management gets a fresh boost this season with several hot commodities fresh off the runway from Milan and Paris. Racking up shows left and right this month, Andrey Smidl comes out on top as one to watch, followed by new faces Onnys Aho, Todd Taylor and Jordan Postrel.

Independent Men–Leading this season’s roster from Milano agency Independent Men is new kid on the block, Simone Nobili, who stars in spring’s campaign from Givenchy. An example of the surprise breakout star, Independent Men’s ranks are lined with the promising star. Housing the ideal runway talents, Pavel Baranov and Andrea Bellisario or going for a brooding cool — Reinaldo Berthoti, Milan has its strong suits. Whether found in the classic looks of Thom Morell or the spunky first impression met with up and comer Jake Shortall, all the model bases are covered.

Bananas–True to their offbeat name, all is well in paradise when it comes to Paris agency Bananas. Serving up classic faces alongside fashion’s favorite quirky boy, the infectious personalities are in intense demand and Bananas has the supply. At one end of the spectrum is bad boy extraordinaire Yuri Pleskun, matched this season with the charm of new kid on the block, Jake Shortall or furthermore, Eric Ramos. For dark and brooding, the striking Lucho Jacob is always a great match or for an androgynous flair, there is Jaco Van Den Hoven. From constant cover star RJ King to the classic blue-chip achievements of Nicolas Ripoll or Ryan Kennedy, Bananas’ shining lot comes full circle with a guaranteed fit for all Paris’ coming attractions.

Young Americana–Il Sistema Degli Oggetti designers Caterina Coccioli and Alessandro Manzi present their latest collection as finalists of the recent search by Vogue for Who is On Next for menswear. Showcased during Pitti Uomo, the new spring collection is captured here by Jacopo Moschin. Creating sportswear fashioned after the American youth of the 70’s and 80’s shot by Hug Holland in Venice Beach, characters – rebellious at the time, make a comeback with expressive fabrications. From the skater and surfer to the basketball player, comfortable garments take top form with an artistic vision inspired by talents including Nate Lowman, Dan Colen and the late Dash Snow. Finding comfort in reinvented basketball shorts, gorgeous parkas and other fantastic light standbys, Jordan Postrel is outfitted by Ivan Bontchev for a welcomed spring outing.
