Stumbling into Modeling–Kicking off a modeling career after work with Ryan McGinley, DNA model Marcel Castenmiller has a versatile yet special quality that has seen the model transformed throughout the seasons from grunge and more sophisticated aesthetics to a current star in Tommy Hilfiger’s family lineup for the designer’s continuing international campaign. With the ability to snap up jobs everywhere from New York and Tokyo to Paris, it was a no-brainer for Marcel to be photographed by Chiun-Kai Shih for GQ Taiwan’s upcoming issue. / Photo by Adam Marelli using Leica M9. Deer Marcel,–Pete Voelker and Shoji Kuzumi photograph DNA model Marcel Castenmiller for Deer Dana’s latest lineup of graphic tees. Juxtaposing images taken both indoors and outside, Zachary Russell handles the creative direction of the lookbook, setting grounded quirk against a fun range of relaxed tees.

A Fusion of a Man–Los Vladimirovich enlists Marcel Castenmiller for their spring 2012 lookbook of sophisticated angst, lensed by Giovanni Cervantes. Playing with silhouettes, a semi-relaxed structure lends itself to the dissection of traditional menswear, resulting in a new selection of detail-driven garments for the modern customer. Solemn in color, but spirited in execution, the chic lineup comes together with creative color blocking, subtle shifts in proportion and an easy attitude. From attached paneling and ready to wear jackets to delightful coordinating pieces, Los Vladimirovich delivers a smart take on contemporary menswear.
