Major–Leading in the next generation department, Major brings a fine crop to New York Fashion Week. Hot on the heels of an Armani campaign, Florian Van Bael returns to the Big Apple, along with editorial darlings Eugeniy Sauchanka and David Chiang. From the infectious up and coming lineup, Jacob Morton and Justin Halley are joined by the stunning Paul Craddock. Meanwhile, on the other end of the spectrum, the strength of Rob Evans is a strong match to the iconic Scott Barnhill.

American Splendor–Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci looked to the stars and stripes to dress his uniform for the season. Minotaurs tamed, Givenchy’s men paraded down the runway with decorated hoop in nose. From somber black ensembles, dressed with a version of the American flag to skirts and knits adorned with stars, the season’s theme came loud and strong. Revisiting past collections and borrowing their standout pieces, ranging from leggings to boots, the new factor was limited, but embellishment in full effect. Embracing an earthy brown, Givenchy toiled with mosaic prints when not running its gamble through red, blue and white. Encrusted with studs, sequins and stars, the convergence of sharp tailoring and sportswear was at once the same Givenchy of recent memory that has dominated the hiphop landscape.

New Madison–Dynamic easily describes the quality of New Madison’s show package for the upcoming season. An all-around who’s who when it comes to work from campaigns and editorials to the runway, quite the number of recognizable faces are on hand. From the always working Isaac Carew to the highly demanded Gerhard Freidl to stunning faces like Patrick Kafka, the agency has no issue in the star department. Rounding out the package with edgy and popular choice — Alex Dunstan, New Madison continues a fantastic streak with faces, new and old that include Alexander Johansson, Tommy Kristiansen and Joao Zavaski.
Boys on Film–If we went back to school, we’d likely be that annoying overachiever and we wouldn’t have it any other way. With a special thanks above all to our photographer for the day, Nikolai de Vera and the agencies who provided the talent, ADAM, Aim, DNA, Ford, Fusion, Major, New York Models, Next, Q, Red, Request, Soul and Wilhelmina, here’s a grand sampling of our favorite boys of the season: Paul Boche, Chris Garcia, RJ King, Erik Sage, Chris Colton, Leebo Freeman, Miles McMillan, Adnan Djinovic, Maxwell Ronko, Luka Badnjar, Lowell Tautchin, Chris Arundel, Elvis Jankus, Francisco Lachowski, Baptiste Radufe, Jordan Torres, Joao Zavaski, Julian Sapala, Eden Classens, Chris Petersen, Lance R, Roy Pratt, John Tuite, Benoni Loos, Zach King, Louis Mayhew, Jae Yoo, Reinaldo Berthoti, Matthew Hitt, Brett Staal, Colt Maldonado, Glenn Galleghan, Jacob Morton, Kaylan Falgoust, Alexander Beck, Mario Skaric, Jackson, Connor Stanley, Bastien Bonizec, Jake Gordon, Jed Texas, Eryck Laframboise, Sen Mitsuji, Dale Toogood, Lucas Goossens, Rob Evans, Matt Giesler, Samuel Farrier, Louis Galloway, Adrian Cardoso, Sebastian Sauve, Berthold Rothas, Vincent Banic, Brennen Steines, Joe Hartmann, Cesar Chiang, Luis Borges, Arthur Devalbray, Brian Redford, Petter Hedman, Austin Hall, Rich Stinger, John R, Hampus Luck, Seven, Thiago Santos, Jordan and Zac Stenmark.

Sweet Escape–Mr. Rob Evans led the next heat. Blowing up over the past year, taking on leading campaign efforts for both Calvin Klein and Givenchy, Rob, still very much with his head firmly planted on his shoulders, has a certain spark when he walks in a room. Then there was the friendly, note happy-go-lucky Samuel Farrier. It was a long day as models bounced from casting to casting, but no exhaustion here, a bright bolt of energy and a presence to remember. Next up was Baptiste Radufe, the French fresh face who took the shows in Europe by storm and came to do the same in New York. From a coveted new face to prime castings, one of our new favorites stole the season with Nicholas K, General Idea, Richard Chai and numerous other shows under his belt. Fourth in (and with a funny story we’ll save for later), Matt Giesler simply has one of those faces, sharp on the features, classic and ready for an expensive suit or two (cue the to-shoot list). / Photos by Nikolai de Vera.
