Wil­helmina–Mas­ter­ing the art of the per­fectly main­tained men’s board, Wil­helmina lends New York Fash­ion Week unde­ni­able stars such as Clement Chaber­naud and Jon Kor­ta­jarena. Trea­sured amongst the ranks are famil­iar faces James Smith, Tay­lor Fuchs and Matthew Hitt as well as count­less oth­ers. In the new faces depart­ment, Wil­helmina charms no doubt with this season’s Givenchy star, Chris Moore and strik­ing up and com­ers like Tay­lor Cowan. Round­ing out their lineup with wel­comed mod­els such as Vladimir Ivanov and Reid Prebenda, Wil­helmina solid­i­fies a phe­nom­e­nal track record in the stars department.

Jean-Luc’s Casting Call Diaries | Paris Fashion Week – Day 2

Boys, Boys, Boys–For my sec­ond day of this new exclu­sive ‘Cast­ing Call Diaries’ series for The Fash­ion­isto, I chased mod­els across Paris from Hauss­mann build­ings by the Chi­cis­sime Avenue Mon­taigne and Avenue de L’Opéra to some more indus­trial photo stu­dios in more pop­u­lar dis­tricts; out of a slightly ambi­tious pro­gram of eight cast­ings I man­aged to cover six : Dior Homme, Mugler, Louis Vuit­ton, Arnys, Yohji Yamamoto and Alexis Mabille … This jour­ney proved to be pretty intense behind the cam­era due to the amount of mod­els who would never miss giv­ing it a chance at cast­ings for such major shows even if they have to carry an umbrella, but granted me to pin to my list of daily tro­phies the likes of Yuri Pleskun, ris­ing star Bap­stiste Radufe, Nico­las Ripoll, Matvey Lykov, Dou­glas Neitzke, Lyle Lod­wick, Corey Bap­tiste, Paul Boche, Vic­tor Nylan­der, Alexan­der Johans­son, Juan Manuel Aran­cibia, Alexan­der Beck, Julien Chanca etc, some newer faces such as Andrea Bel­lis­ario, Timmi Radicke, Julius Ger­hardt, Jay or Noma Han for instance and even the fresh­est first timers you can imag­ine : Jus­tus Eis­feld (who doesn’t even have a paris agency yet) or Isaac Ekblad (who came to Paris to visit his fam­ily and was only dis­cov­ered today by an agency scout as he was walk­ing in the street !) … Also snapped were design­ers Romain Kre­mer (Mugler) and Alexis Mabille … check this space for more to come very soon !

Independent Men Fall/​Winter 2012 Show Package

Inde­pen­dent Men–Lead­ing this season’s ros­ter from Milano agency Inde­pen­dent Men is new kid on the block, Simone Nobili, who stars in spring’s cam­paign from Givenchy. An exam­ple of the sur­prise break­out star, Inde­pen­dent Men’s ranks are lined with the promis­ing star. Hous­ing the ideal run­way tal­ents, Pavel Bara­nov and Andrea Bel­lis­ario or going for a brood­ing cool — Reinaldo Berthoti, Milan has its strong suits. Whether found in the clas­sic looks of Thom Morell or the spunky first impres­sion met with up and comer Jake Short­all, all the model bases are covered.

Bananas Fall/​Winter 2012 Show Package

Bananas–True to their off­beat name, all is well in par­adise when it comes to Paris agency Bananas. Serv­ing up clas­sic faces along­side fashion’s favorite quirky boy, the infec­tious per­son­al­i­ties are in intense demand and Bananas has the sup­ply. At one end of the spec­trum is bad boy extra­or­di­naire Yuri Pleskun, matched this sea­son with the charm of new kid on the block, Jake Short­all or fur­ther­more, Eric Ramos. For dark and brood­ing, the strik­ing Lucho Jacob is always a great match or for an androg­y­nous flair, there is Jaco Van Den Hoven. From con­stant cover star RJ King to the clas­sic blue-​​chip achieve­ments of Nico­las Ripoll or Ryan Kennedy, Bananas’ shin­ing lot comes full cir­cle with a guar­an­teed fit for all Paris’ com­ing attractions.
