The Look — Yohji Yamamoto Spring 2008

I have had this look from Yohji Yamamoto’s spring 2008 col­lec­tion pinned to my wall for the last two years. It is dif­fer­ent, effort­less, chic…I love the way it blends the mil­i­taris­tic and civil­ian styles. I am severely dis­ap­pointed in myself for not track­ing down the pants when I had the chance. A cardi­gan is easy to find, but not sus­pender pants that fit just the right way. How­ever, that does not take away from this look being a great source of style inspi­ra­tion. For most peo­ple, wear­ing sus­penders is a dras­tic state­ment; def­i­nitely not for every­one. How­ever, pair­ing the right cardi­gan with the right sus­penders pro­vides a toned down look that is still dif­fer­ent. So, what are you wait­ing for?
