The Royal Influence of Russian Tsar Nicholas II Prevails — OntFront Fall 2009

Ont­Front always has a nice cohe­sive theme for each col­lec­tion, which makes for a style-​​inspiring label.  This upcom­ing fall sea­son, Ont­Front takes on the Russ­ian roy­alty of the nine­teenth century:

“The influ­ences go back to the roots of Russ­ian designer LIZA KOIFMAN, where the last emperor Tsar Nicholas II of Rus­sia ruled as Auto­crat in 19th cen­tury. A tsar well-​​known for wear­ing the finest uni­forms in his­tory. There­fore rich suit fab­rics of grey, anthracite, black and off-​​white are majes­ti­cally com­bined with royal red, deep pur­ple and fur. The col­lec­tion con­sists of long coats, blaz­ers, trousers, dress shirts, v-​​necks, base­ball jack­ets and hooded blaz­ers. All fea­tured with quirky details like golden plated 3.5 mini-​​jack plugs on draw­strings, embroi­dered fam­ily weapons and shiny satin linings.”
