Tijana Pavlov Fall 2009

This fall, enter the drunk world of Tijana Pavlov where soci­ety is on the brink of col­lapse and the line has been blurred between ready-​​to-​​wear and avant-​​garde fash­ion. Find­ing order in the midst of chaos, Pavlov cre­ates a look that is off the cuff, yet makes sense. The fab­rics of con­ven­tion are worn away by inter­est­ing cuts and then strapped down, evok­ing the often trou­bling nature of bondage and the human state of insan­ity. Con­tin­u­ing on this note is the atten­tion grab­bing robe that leaves noth­ing to the imag­i­na­tion, in fact defeat­ing a robe’s pur­pose. The col­lec­tion plays with the notion of what is accept­able and rein­forces Pavlov’s obses­sion with futur­is­tic menswear that defies society’s norms.
