It’s a season of top models for Da Man Style. After stories featuring Lucky Blue Smith and Jason Morgan, the magazine enlists model icon Tony Ward for a cover shoot with photographer Mitchell Nguyen McCormack. Embracing leather and black fashions from designer brands such as Versace, Ward is styled by Alexa Rangroummith Green.
Reflecting on his modeling career, which began in 1983, Ward doesn’t hold back when it comes to his opinion of the industry today. He shares, “These days, too many people can provide input, including most, if not all, of the clients. They need to stay out and keep their opinions to themselves. In the good old days, the art and imagery were left to the artists–the photographers.
The 52 year-old model continues, “Clients weren’t allowed on set. Photographers were trusted and beloved for their talent and vision. Too many tasteless corporate types have their stinky fingers in the pie today. And that’s all I have to say about that. It’s my fourth decade and I’m still going strong.”
