“The focus of the Tse Men Spring 2009 col­lec­tion is on exist­ing in a state of flux in nature, while cre­at­ing inti­macy and emo­tional sen­sa­tions by embrac­ing technology.

Con­ven­tion­ally, a sense of sta­bil­ity has been asso­ci­ated with nature while the rapid change of tech­nol­ogy has been seen as dis­rup­tive to its vulnerability/​intimacy. Spring, how­ever, cel­e­brates tech­ni­cal stim­u­lus and at the same time a need for pro­tec­tion and pre­pared­ness in nature.

This is man­i­fested through volu­mi­nous pro­tec­tive shapes such as over­sized anoraks and cardi­gans as well as loungewear shapes such as sweat pants and thin, com­fort­able tops with Hen­ley neck details.”
