Year in Review | Spring ’09 Lookbooks

Although most col­lec­tions make their debut on the run­way, there is some­thing about a look­book done right that adds a cer­tain appeal to the cloth­ing. In look­books, there tends to be a spe­cial rela­tion­ship between the model, gar­ments, styling, set and above all designer’s vision. This rela­tion­ship may get lost on the run­way, but here in pic­tures, they help cre­ate a lifestyle that adheres to a con­cep­tu­al­ized aes­thetic. After the jump are spring 2009’s standouts.
