Nathan McGuire is the “Face of the Future” as he covers GQ Style Australia’s spring edition. Much like his GQ Australia story, the outing breaks boundaries as Nathan becomes the first Australian indigenous model to cover the magazine. Reuniting with photographer Jake Terrey, Nathan stars in an editorial that features the Bottega Veneta Salon 01 collection. Grant Pearce styles Nathan in the brand’s elevated menswear classics.
Talking to GQ Style Australia about the shoot, Nathan reflects, “All the looks were really fun…even if they’re not clothes you might normally wear, you sort of become a character that suits the clothing. They made me feel really sleek.”
Hoping to make his unique mark in fashion, Nathan is working on his own brand. “I’m currently working on a launch collection of my label that’s inspired by my heritage as an Aboriginal man,” says Nathan. “I felt there was a need for that space to be filled in the industry with a bit more menswear. So that’s something I’m chipping away at, and hopefully, I can get some stuff out really soon.”
