apan Fashion Week has quietly come and gone. Opening Monday, March 23, 2009 and coming to a close yesterday, the week featured a generally subdued color palette, but did not disappoint in the drama factor. The fall collection from Gut’s Dynamite Cabarets was infused with rocker spirit and a slight attempt at humor. The standout piece of the show was an exhuberant leopard fur coat flocked with faux paint in protest. On the other hand, Heath played it modest by enhancing traditional pieces with modern details like the oversized cowl neck. Rounding up this glimpse at Japan Fashion Week is @Izreel with their elongated collection of gray and black that mixed streetwear with formal attire.
