“Being part of the Gap campaign and wearing their denim feels like a perfect fit,” Sivan says. “Dance has become a staple in my life, giving me confidence and a sense of timeless cool. I’m honored to be part of something that embodies such effortless style and self-expression.”
The campaign reunites Sivan with choreographer Sergio Reis, who also worked on the singer’s recent music video performances for “Rush,” “Got Me Started,” and “One of Your Girls.”
Together with the dance group CDK Company, Sivan performs to Thundercat’s viral song “Funny Thing.” The result is a dynamic, movement-driven showcase of Gap’s latest denim styles.
Photographer Dan Martensen captures Sivan and the dancers rocking Gap’s baggy and loose-fit denim styles. “This fall, we are celebrating Gap’s 55-year heritage in denim with a collection of loose styles that allow for self-expression,” says Gap President and CEO Mark Breitbard.
Breitbard continues, “Our new campaign featuring Troye Sivan perfectly captures the spirit of this moment with an attitude that showcases the movement of our denim and delivers fashion as entertainment.”
Sivan puts Gap’s latest pieces to the test, styling the Baggy Jean and ’90s Loose Cargo Jean with Cropped T-shirts, the Heavyweight Zip Hoodie, and the Corduroy Jacket.
Altogether, Gap continues to push the boundaries of fashion and self-expression, with its loose denim leading the way.
