Time To Vunk–The roundup of the winter 2013 campaigns continues with the first two advertisements released by the house of Versace, starring models Matt Trethe (WhyNot) and Travis Smith (Bananas). Continuing their collaboration with the Italian luxury label, the unstoppable Mert & Marcus opted this season for classic studio images that are reminiscent of the advertisements shot by Richard Avedon for the brand in the 90’s. If for spring/summer 2013 the mood was sexy gods and gladiators, for winter it turns in a different direction, portraying the “Vunk” collection conceived by Donatella Versace in a very clean way. Paying homage to the punk roots of brand with an imaginary of transgressive dandies, the photographers, under Giovanni Bianco’s creative direction, provide essential images, focusing the attention on the exaggerated volumes and elaborate prints included in Versace’s winter offering. / Styling by David Bradshaw. Hair by Garren. Makeup by Lucia Pieroni.
