The Silent Era–Enlisted by Croatian fashion designer Damir Doma, Nathalie model Romeo Caminos graces the designer’s spring/summer 2014 lookbook, unveiling to us Doma’s Silent Collection. Following an aesthetic of exaggerated lines and silhouettes, the designer explores new ways to construe his signature sense of style, that often moves away from the big seasonal trends. With a reduced palette of colors, made of black, greys, white, dark blue and dusty tones, the designer drives the attention on layering and comfortable volumes, sending us in a fashion universe where low crotch trousers are the key piece of the season. Mixing them with different garments, like cotton tees, oversized ribbed sweaters or classic shirts, revisited with a degradé effect, Doma also provides a series of practical outerwear designs. The classic bomber jacket, a garment that is currently under the radar of many labels, the essential denim jacket, the functional techno-fabrics numbers, or the more mysterious oversized cardigans, complete Doma’s offering, reinforcing his signature aesthetic, that prefers an essential approach to fashion.
