behind spanish based label retal reciclaje creativo, paola pucci and paolo coppolella, 2 young italians autodidact designers … their label was launched in 2005 as a workshop which combines design and recycling …
showing as part of the “zona d”, the platform for the emerging designers here at the semana de la moda de valencia, retal reciclaje creativo was awarded together with georgina vendrell the prize for the best collection …

entitled “sueños sueltos en el cajón” (dreams lost in the drawer) the aw1011 collection takes its inspiration in federico fellini’s work both as a caricaturist and as a film director …
it’s dominated by the broken white colour and by “tone over tone” fantasies in which large collars, extreme sleeves, inserts, pleats and darts determine the line and create an oneiric collection which is both atemporal and ‘felliniesque’ for an elegant and daring wearer who is also a dreamer …
white, red, military green and blue; recycled materials … painter’s jackets, white shirts (all made out of bed sheets), shorts, cropped pants and overall give to the collection an almost childish feel somewhere between a school boy and a page … i really loved the baggy japanese style trousers …
