Expanding on a conceptual collection based around the word interject and its numerous meanings, designer Chul Young Choi approaches his sophomore collection with the goal to make the familiar feel fresh once more. Beginning with a relatively conservative silhouette, the man of Cy Choi must keep up with a constantly evolving wardrobe. From the modest jacket and trousers to an interjection of dramatic shape, cut and volume, the collection reveals an endearing stride in sporadically placed pockets. Pulled in many directions, but cohesive nevertheless, fall’s range finds its voice in an intricately constructed variance of both casual and formal garments that set out an intelligent tone with stylish quirks.
