James Bond 007, the British secret service agent created by Ian Fleming in his fiction work, is immortalized through action-thriller films and the evolution of inspired collaborations. As a testament to the lasting power of Fleming’s Bond, almost all the movies achieve commercial success, even with different actors portraying the lead character.

Fashion brand Orlebar Brown continues to demonstrate its love for James Bond with yet another range of menswear reflecting the style that the debonair Mr. Bond showed on the big screen. Many of those films include scenes in exotic islands with the Caribbean spirit. Legend has it that Ian Fleming used to live in Fleming Villa in Jamaica’s GoldenEye resort when he penned his Bond novels. Orlebar Brown keeps the magic alive by using the same locations to shoot the promotional images for its 007 Heritage Collection. They call it their third ode to the iconic style of James Bond.

Collaboration with Eon Productions

In their endeavor to create an authentic style experience for the James Bond fan, Orlebar Brown partners with Eon Productions, the company that produces the 007 films. In the campaign shot in the Caribbean, the fashion label works with photographer Greg Williams who shares his keen eye after working on the sets of iconic James Bond films.

Many of the articles they have developed take inspiration from the clothing worn by Sean Connery and  George Lazenby in their prospective Bond films. The clothes maker has then added their imagination and design to come up with an exciting wardrobe. Meanwhile, Eon Productions has aided Orlebar Brown’s stylish pursuit with access to its archives. The emphasis in this particular range is resort attire with the likes of swim shorts, t-shirts, and so on. Some of them even boast the film franchise names as well.

The 007 Heritage Collection

Orlebar Brown’s 007 Heritage collection dives into the film archives, playing with popular titles for must-have items like the Thunderball linen shirt and For Your Eyes Only shorts. Since the James Bond movies have inspired these creations, you will be able to identify the outfit quickly. For example, there is a suit in linen, which is a take on what 007 wore in the movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The list goes on.

The attempt here is to stay close to the design of the Bond attire but play around with the latest fabrics like linen. Orlebar Brown fabulously exploits the desire amongst Bond fans to look their best in these clothes with some emotional attachment to their hero.

Variety of Designs

Some of the collection’s swim shorts have the film’s images all over. On the other hand, several carry the name of the movie as well, right in front of the thigh, leaving the onlooker in no doubt. The short-sleeved shirts, whether striped or checked, have their own charm. You can even pick up a Dr. No toweling robe in this range. While most of the clothes are relaxed, you can spruce things up with a linen suit and a Bond dress shirt.
