Acne Studios Spring/Summer 2015–Jonny Johansson’s latest collection for Acne Studios is quite personal. “I visualise my friends wearing this collection. It’s more personal and real rather than conceptual,” says Johansson. “The theme revolves around a pureness found in street sports but with a juxtaposing generosity in luxurious materials. There are a lot of reversed elements, things may not be what they first look or feel like.” For the collection at large, Johansson embraces a relaxed silhouette that still has some shape to it thanks to its mid-20th century inspiration, honing in on classics such as Harrington jackets. Enveloping the effortlessly cool spirit we’ve come to expect from Acne, spring/summer 2015 is a youthful mix of sportswear that bucks the trends, finding strength in sharp cuts and boxy numbers that include knitwear, leather jackets and smart shirting.
