Creating his first Burberry fragrance, Tisci explains how he wanted to “encapsulate modern masculinity, to play on the essence of primal human and animal instincts.” Tisci discusses the accompanying campaign, adding, “I am so thrilled to have worked with Adam Driver. He has incredible depth in articulating what masculinity means today — how strength can be subtle and emotions can empower.”
Adam Driver for Burberry Hero Fragrance Campaign
Burberry Hero represents “a man in search of transformation and metamorphosis; a new modern heroism.” Embodying the new Burberry fragrance, Driver appears in a campaign spot directed by Jonathan Glazer. He makes quite the impression, standing tall at the height of 6’2″.
Driver rides horseback to the FKA Twigs’ song, “Two Weeks.” In the advertisement, man mirrors horse as Burberry explains the two as “pushing their physical limits to transform into a mythical creature – a metaphor for personal transformation. A new man. A hero.” This bold journey takes form as Burberry Hero–a fragrance of warm cedarwood oils, juniper, bergamot, and black pepper.
Tisci works with perfumer Aurélien Guichard to create the fantastic new Burberry fragrance. In addition to fronting an advertising sport for Burberry Hero, Driver captivates in modern imagery. The “House of Gucci” star appears in stunning visuals shot by Sorrenti.
For Driver to work with the British fashion house, the American actor shares, “I’m very happy to be working with Burberry on the Burberry Hero fragrance campaign, and with designer Riccardo Tisci in representing his first fragrance for the brand.”
