Most people want to follow the latest trends in the fashion world. Whether it’s buying a stylish and practical bag or wearing the latest designer suit to a party, they want to look glamorous and trendy. However, some of the latest designs can be quite expensive if you are living on a budget, but that doesn’t mean you can’t follow the trends. Here are some of the ways that you can still follow the fashion, even if you don’t always have the money to do so.

What Areas of Fashion do you Like?

Before you can decide on how to afford the latest trends you want, you need to think about what areas of fashion you like the most. Perhaps you like shoes and want to have the best ones, or perhaps you are a follower of suits and like them to be the latest fashion. Once you have decided what interests you, then you can start to find alternatives or start to save the money you need to do it. By doing this every year, you are creating a perpetual cycle of selling and buying that will keep your wardrobe clutter-free.

Selling Old Wardrobe

If you are the type of person who loves clothes and shoes, then there might be an ideal way to make some money. There are many people who would simply love to have designer gear, even if they are last years designs. By trying to sell some of these items, you can make money to put towards this year’s fashion. You need to ensure that they are not damaged in any way, as this won’t sell, and of course, they need to be cleaned and fresh. There are many ways that you can sell your old clothes, though the best are usually online auction sites or social media. They are the places where you are likely to get the best prices.

Reuse and Recycle

Most people have a garment that is their favorite, and that they simply cannot part with for anything. These garments are often part of a previous fashion trend that you fell in love with. However, they might not be as fashionable as they were, but that doesn’t mean you cannot still use them in an adapted way. For example, if you have an old jacket that you have worn many times before, then think about how it can still fit into the current fashion trends. With this year’s fashion, there is a return to the turned-up cuffs and open layers of clothes. That means you can still wear your jacket, but by turning up the sleeves, you are immediately making it fashionable again. The same applies to jeans; the ripped jean is still in fashion so if you think you can rip your old jeans you can give them a new lease on life.

Write a Fashion Blog

With all of your interest and knowledge of fashion, starting a fashion blog could be the perfect way to do something you love, and perhaps make some money at the same time. Blogging has become increasingly popular, and people all over the world widely read many topics daily. Fashion is one of those topics which means you can create a strong following. With this, you can start to collaborate with companies and fashion labels to get the latest designs and see what’s coming up in the future. With the right amount of advertising, you can also start to make some money to finance your clothing. With sites like YouTube, you could even cover the fashion shows and get inside information for your readers.

Savings

The way that most people would create the money is to save the money from their income. It might be that they use their general savings or perhaps they have a dedicated clothing fund. Whatever the way you save, it is a good idea to create the spare money first before you save it, you will then have fewer problems with your budgeting. To create this spare cash, you should be looking at ways that you can trim your expenditure and maximize your available income. One way is to stop those little things that can build up over a month like buying coffee in a shop or buying a newspaper every day. Once you have created some spare cash, you can put into a savings account like those on this website.

Getting a Second Job

If you are determined to fund your fashion buying, but the job you have isn’t able to give you the additional income, then you might need to think of other things. One way is to look for a second job that will enable you to build some savings. The job you get needs to be something that won’t cause you to have problems with your existing job. It can also be good to do a job from home so that it won’t take any traveling time or expenses. Many people do freelance work for this type of saving because it can be done from home, and you can choose jobs that play to your strengths. You will have to think about how long you can do a second job without it affecting your health.

Credit Cards

One of the most popular and quickest ways to pay for those additional items is to put it on the credit card. To make this work for you, it is important that you look at your credit cards to see if there are any interest-free options available. Buying things interest-free means that you will only be repaying the amount that you borrowed. It can make it less expensive as you will only be deferring the amount you spend until later. It is important, however, that you remember to keep up the repayments on your credit cards. If you don’t, then you run the risk of having to pay interest.

By doing some or all of these things, you can quickly get yourself the latest fashion items to add to your collection.
