Oak Purchase–Marking their first acquisition, American Apparel purchases New York-based retailer Oak. Oak, known for their trendy stock and house brand will continue under the creative direction of founders Louis Terline and Jeff Madalena. However, production of the house brand will now be under American Apparel, being produced in Los Angeles, California. (WWD)
