Fantastic Man delivers quite the cheeky spread for its spring-summer 2015 issue. Leading Spanish model Andres Velencoso Segura gets made up. Connecting with makeup artist Peter Philips, Andres is introduced to makeup staples, wearing blush, lipstick and more. Photographed by Richard Burbridge and styled by Jodie Barnes, Andres showcases seven makeup accents. Talking to The Cut about the eccentric spread, Fantastic Man co-founder Jop van Bennekom shares, “It’s a very simple idea. It’s just giving makeup a chance. It’s just like applying female basics on a man’s face. It’s fun, it’s silly, but it’s also a little bit liberating. It’s shot almost as a manual, like let’s try out a lip or an eye makeup look. Men are more limited in a way, but women can accentuate whatever they have. For men, wearing green socks is kind of risky.”
