Balmain’s New Stand–Anthon Wellsjo may be a Balmain repeat, but spring 2012 marks the first season for the label’s new creative director Olivier Rousteing. Showing a heightened sense of detail, the new outing showcases Balmain’s beloved affection for the rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic, while also encouraging a focus on design. Accessorized with scarves in soft pastels, the collection’s show pieces find a voice in the form of scaled leather wears and pant detailing. From jacket to waistcoat and many a pair of trousers, Balmain fails to miss a note with their core audience-delivering another youthful foray.
