A Soft Touch–A textural collection of refined soft tailoring brought a sense of easy dressing with a touch of luxury to the spring/summer 2013 collection of Baartmans and Siegel. The collection offered blousons, deconstructed shirts and jackets in a sand washed palette of muted shades such as stone, light mint and pale salmon. Lightweight parkas, drawstring sweat shorts and slim track pants with printed panels added a sporty mix. Textural pieces such as a mint suit woven with lurex threads, shine coated trench coat in dove grey and a beaded razor back tank added a luxurious aesthetic, and knitwear featured hypnotic scallop patterns and shirts made in embroidery anglaise had a contemporary masculine take. Accessories such as large croc leather totes and suede slip on shoes in the same palette finishes a collection that is both charming and effortless. / Words by Kenny Ho, Fashionisto London Fashion Editor.
