Designed by Balenciaga’s men’s design team, the fashion house’s fall-winter 2016 collection tackles a somber mood. Taking root in the season, the range borrows inspiration from gardening. Dramatic silhouettes also reference Balenciaga founder, Cristóbal Balenciaga’s work for American socialite and fashion icon, Mona von Bismarck. Taking up the cause of a subdued color palette, brown, grey and black come together for an eclectic wardrobe. Here, floor-length coats and leather shearling jackets are brought together with oversized joggers. Additional standouts include Balenciaga’s idea of the leisure suit that includes a black and grey checked number.
