The Balmain Army took to the catwalk this season to unveil creative director Olivier Rousteing’s spring-summer 2016 menswear collection for the French fashion house. Picking up on the season’s desert military trend, the Balmain man was clad in both black and neutral layers. Juxtaposed with urban style undertones, fitted jackets and layered shorts hit the runway. A new take on the gladiator sandal contributed to a uniform look that featured draped tops, embroidered outerwear, cinched jackets and tapered trousers.
