Belstaff looks east for a new capsule collection in partnership with streetwear brand, SOPHNET. The collaboration brings the British and Japanese labels together for spring-summer 2017. Several of Belstaff’s most iconic outerwear pieces are reinterpreted by SOPHNET for the season.
Discussing the collaboration, Belstaff CEO Gavin Haig shares, “We are proud to reveal our collaboration with renowned Japanese street-wear label SOPHNET. Together we have worked on a capsule collection of street-inspired iconic Belstaff outerwear styles, to which Kiyonaga–with great respect for the codes of the brand–has brought a modern and urban functionality.”
Haig continues, “The collection is an exclusive and limited series aimed at the global city adventurer which we anticipate will not be available for very long.” Talking about their capsule collection, SOPHNET’s Hirofumi Kiyonaga adds, “I came across Belstaff decades ago, when my curiosity for fashion first began. Belstaff is a brand which people have worn and admired for many years and I respect their designs, longevity and authenticity.”

Referring to his own brand, Kiyonaga relates, “This is something I wish for with my own label. I appreciate this opportunity to work with Belstaff and I believe the collection showcases the Belstaff philosophy combined with Japanese street culture. I hope the collection appeals to the loyal fans of both brands but also to a new audience.” Shop Belstaff’s SOPHNET spring-summer 2017 capsule collection on Belstaff.com.
