Relaxed luxury is seamlessly executed for Berluti’s fall-winter 2015 menswear collection. Berluti artistic director Alessandro Sartori reflects on the new lineup, sharing, “The contrast between the sharpness of the silhouette, the comfort of the new-generation jersey and the lightness of the atelier’s construction represents the soul of the Berluti man for the coming autumn/winter season.” Championing jersey as the season’s undeniable star, no looks included a shirt. Instead, tops, constructed from knitted fabrics were paired with pleated trousers and jackets, cut shorter for a modern finesse. The season’s choice pattern was inspired by the process used to create Murano glass. Mimicing the mineral dust blown onto molten glass as it’s shaped over a furnace, a rich mix of emerald green, zinc grey, sulphur yellow, amber brown, cobalt blue, slate grey and coal black set the tone for a perceived casualness, but a strong opulence.
