There is no light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to the latest collection from Swedish label Blank. Dark and gloomy, the collection emotes little and remains distant. Black and gray are carried on from the spring in monochromatic color schemes that rely on security and longevity. Tapered trousers are no surprise, but the collection also embraces a wider silhouette. Finally, boxy blazers and outerwear appear confident, but at the same time cold–keeping the world at an arm length. Altogether, the collection does not gamble on moving outside Blank’s comfort level, instead resting on their signature uniform aesthetic that at times can come across as being void of feeling.
