Following its spring-summer advertisements, Bottega Veneta collaborates with photographer Viviane Sassen once more. The Dutch artist captures model Simon Fitskie for the fashion house’s fall-winter 2016 campaign. Paying tribute to Italian painter and artist Alberto Burri, Bottega Veneta takes to the landscape artwork of the Cretto di Burri. Originally left unfinished in 1989 due to a lack of funding, the artwork was completed in 2015 to mark Burri’s 100-year birthday if he had been alive.

Discussing the campaign at greater lengths, Bottega Veneta creative director, Tomas Maier talks about working with Sassen, sharing, “Vivianne’s photography has an inescapable enigmatic quality to it, a refinement and acute independence. Together, we have explored both the artistic landmarks for the campaigns that are more than a backdrop, but rather an added voice to our collaboration.”
