Putting the Suit to Work-Honing in on the modern suit for his latest Bottega Veneta outing, creative director Tomas Maier examines menswear fundamentals, expressing that he “wanted to explore the iconic men’s suit and the formality and competence that fine tailoring conveys.” Attacking the suit with the goal of wearability but a certain richness pointed at the details, precise construction and sense of purpose inform the collection’s direction. Referencing classic suit patterns with an artful hand unique to Bottega Veneta, shades of gray, blue and plum dress separates, cut from cotton, wool or cashmere. Rounding out a range that also include flannel jackets, sportswear-inspired parkas and more, accessories picked up where suiting left off, executing a lineup meant for the workforce.
