Brioni Fall/Winter 2014–Brioni creative director Brendan Mullane looked to the label’s archives to find his inspiration for fall/winter 2014. Focusing in on a 1963 travel journal by Brioni co-founder Gaetano Savini, Mullane was inspired by his first trip to Japan. The catalyst for an East meets West collection, Italian craftsmanship and subtle Eastern details culminated in a contemporary offering that is year-round in application. From silk prints hand-painted by Chiso kimono artists to belted wool jackets and printed knitwear, the wardrobe of Brioni’s man was delivered a sartorial version of romanticism, complete with holdalls, weekend bags, brogues, loafers and more.
Love the cranes’ jackets!
