Metallic Accents–For spring/summer 2013, designer Christopher Bailey brings colors, both candy-coated and metallic to the closet of the Burberry Prorsum aficionado. A selection of catchy neon-hued shades, used on coats, shirts, trousers and accessories, emphasized a slim and clean silhouette that mixed these engaging hues with more quiet and traditional shades. The iconic Burberry trench was revisited in metallic candy hues, like fuchsia, mint and sky blue, adding to the legendary garment a fresh and more youthful twist. However, the collection wasn’t only about metallics but in fact included sophisticated slim suits, ethno-inspired patterns, and above all, the must-have piece of the whole collection: the bomber jacket. Designed for the classically-inclined or more trendy consumer in us, the jacket boasted a modern punch that is sure to send waves.
