  1. Modern day models are incessantly becoming more and more homely. Are designers looking to stray the eye from male beauty onto their clothes?

  3. Hedi is known for photographing young men for his diary. These guys skateboard, play in a band, or surf. I believe the models in the Prada campaign are just that. Everyday guys that happened to be in the right place and time to meet Hedi Slimane. Finding out the names of those models will be quite impossible.

  7. they look more and more like a pedophiles dream of east european rent boys. slimane is going for his personal fetish but it’s so tiring, as it doesn’t transgress anything. it’s just superficial, empty and sort of sick

  13. I think it’s brilliant. There’s nothing wrong in using adolescents in a campaign. If the girls are 14, what is wrong with having 17 year old male models? Besides, this guys are not selling sex, they are not rented boys, they are just an idealized character created to fit the standarts of a complex society that overvalues youth. It just a natural movement in the evolution of fashion, and it’s beyond the comprehension of people that are not part of it. We have always tryed to fight time, in the faces of this sleek and angular young boys, we see what we’d like to be. Simple, emotional, curious… with all our lives ahead, with all the time in the world to make mistakes and live.
It’s not surprising that the fashion industry is so obsessed with youth.
The pictures are beautiful, and they DO sell Prada to me.
    Thanks Hedi.

Ah, and by the way, I think their noses are fine!
