Dark checks provide a sharp style agenda for Canali’s fall-winter 2016 men’s collection.

Canali served up a seriously sharp collection for fall-winter 2016. Unveiled during Milan Fashion Week, creative director Andrea Pompilio discussed his most recent outing for Canali, sharing, “There is so much of the world that we don’t actually perceive and I wanted to explore this concept for the new season. As in architecture, every detail, both inside and out, was carefully calculated to craft the perfect balance between practicality and style.” Following this line of thought, the range presented a detail oriented take on menswear classics for the sartorial gentleman.

Slimmed down silhouettes carried a luxurious finish with gabardines, cotton velvet, pony hair, wool and cashmere. Accessorizing check trousers, cableknit sweaters, double-breasted suiting and leather jackets, slim scarves were modeled as neckties, while leather gloves provided a severe affront to the cold.
