Traveling throughout South America over the last couple of seasons, for spring-summer 2017, Honduran designer Carlos Campos arrived in Havana, Cuba. Tackling military inspirations, rich browns, and olive greens defined the season’s color palette. Approaching a lineup of jumpsuits, monochromatic numbers, and elongated silhouettes, Campos incorporated references from his own personal trips to Cuba.

One such item was the guayabera. Bridging the gap between casual and formal, the guayabera is seen as both a work shirt and wedding shirt. Known for its vertical pleats, the timeless shirt was reinterpreted as a chic medium-length jacket. Lending the season another unique element, Carlos Campos collaborated with Louis Leeman on a collection of white sneakers, adorned with gold eyelets.
