Carven creative director Barnabé Hardy makes a playful style proposal with his fall-winter 2016 men’s collection. Referencing fashions of the late 1970s and early 80s, Hardy embraces relaxed silhouettes and a mix of textiles that include corduroy, nylon and terry. Seeped with charm, the range catches the eye with its signature use of long striped scarves. The standout accessory complements a season of knit sweaters that entice with colorblocking and stripes.
Meanwhile, slim-cut trousers are let out for a looser fit and paired with Carven’s hybrid sports shoe. In addition to its colorful options, Carven’s shoes tap into the shearling trend, making for quite the dapper style statement. Inspired by pop art, the collection is rounded out with character-infused sweatshirts, knits and shirts. Touching upon a cool color palette of grey, khaki and navy, winter hues are contrasted against pops of blood orange, ruby red and fluorescent green.
