Carven artistic director Barnabé Hardy is right on trend for spring-summer 2017. The French fashion brand’s new collection was unveiled during Paris Fashion Week. Equal parts preppy, quirky and sporty, the man of Carven evolved into a figure of great leisure. Chambray and seersucker dressed coordinated ensembles of pleated trousers and casual jackets, while active garments such as the parka added a splash of color. Knitwear was also a standout, featuring colorblocking and multi-prints. Rounding out the collection, the Carven man got an extra lift in the footwear department with a modern thick soled take on the boat shoe. Colorful sneakers were another welcomed addition.
