Inez & Vinoodh

Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin form the Dutch photography duo Inez & Vinoodh. The pair have worked together since 1986. They met at the Fashion Academy Vogue in Amsterdam, where they studied fashion design.

Vinoodh was working on his fashion line, Lawina, when he collaborated with Inez to photograph a collection. Vinoodh began creating work with Inez as a stylist before co-authoring images. Inez & Vinoodh’s big break came with a story commissioned by The Face in 1994.

This led to the photography duo shooting for magazines like Vogue and Visionaire. Since, Inez & Vinoodh have worked with additional publications like L’Uomo Vogue, Vogue Hommes Paris, and i-D. The duo has also worked with brands such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent, and Roberto Cavalli on campaigns.
